How does it work?
	The Mix-In-Guide is a chute that hangs on the rim of the mixing bowl. Specially designed notches (see picture above) allow the Mix-In-Guide to be easily put on and taken off of the bowl, while keeping it secure during operation. The cantilevered design keeps most the Mix-In-Guide, and its weight, outside of the bowl and away from the moving parts of the mixer.
Will it work on my mixer?
	The Mix-In-Guide has been designed to work on stand mixers where the bowl is in a fixed position (does not spin). It has been tested with current models from KitchenAid. While it does not work well on the 3 quart KitchenAid bowl, it is perfect for all other sizes. We have not tested with other types of mixers.
Why use Mix-In-Guide?
	We have found that many people do not use the pouring shield that they bought or received with their mixer. It is hard to put on and bulky to store. The Mix-In-Guide is easy to put on and take off. You don't need to put it on before you get started. It won't be in the way when you need to clean the sides of the bowl with a spatula. It is small enough to fit into the mixing bowl for storage, or just leave it on the bowl.
Does it work as a shield??
	No. We have found that for most mixer work the shield is not needed. It is true that with some mixing jobs you may have ingredients flying out of the bowl, but the vast majority of the time you will not. The added benefit of the shield usually does not out weigh the hassle of using it. (Putting it on, taking it off to get into the bowl with a spoon or spatula...)
Where does Mix-In-Guide come from?
	Mix-In-Guide LLC is a small company in Southern Wisconsin. The pouring chute is made right here in a local factory. The design, which is patented, was born from our own frustration in the kitchen. When using our mixer we found it difficult to pour ingredients into the bowl, especially when using a large measuring cup or a bowl. We wanted something that was easy to use and would not get in the way while cooking. The Mix-In-Guide pouring chute is our solution. We hope you find it useful as well.
